(There is no HDMI control options or ARC options on my Windows 10 PC). ![]() ![]() It could be set to operate with the wrong code set, too- most Yamaha have this feature because it makes controlling multiple pieces of the same brand without needing to isolate the IR receivers. I have connected my HTPC to AV1 on my receiver (perhaps this is the problem? doesn't AV1 have special meaning?) and through to a non-ARC port on my TV, whilst switching off ARC on both the AVR and the TV. Make sure to press the Receiver button at the top before trying to control it- its possible that the Source button was pressed. I turned off HDMI control on the receiver, turned off HDMI CEC on my TV yet this situation persists. My logical thinking was to disable CEC on all devices. My preliminary thinking is that the HDMI-CEC (HDMI control?) is thinking that the TV is the audio source, rather than my PC, simply because the TV "did something". This scenario is somewhat irritating as I don't want the Yamaha to change where it "points" unless I tell it to. After a few seconds, the receiver "wakes up" and redirects itself back to the PC. choosing the audio icon on Windows 10, and moving the volume slider. The only way I can "wake" it out of this mode is by forcing the PC to make some sound - i.e. What unfortunately happens though, is when the TV performs this switch, it appears to be sending a signal to the RX-A3070 and the AVR switches from it's standard on-screen mode of either "PCM" or "Decoder Off" (when no audio is coming through for decoding) to "Analog". As per usual with TVs, when the refresh rate is changed (for example, from 50hz to 23hz (to facilitate 23.976 fps)) the screen momentarily goes black and then returns with the new refresh rate. I have a Home Theatre PC (HTPC) with a standard HDMI 2.0a capability, and this device is connected into my Yamaha RX-A3070 which is in turn, then connected to my brand new shiny LG OLED 65C7T panel.įor compatibility reasons when playing video content on my new HTPC, I am instructing the media player to change refresh rate to ensure zero frame drops/repetition, etc. I am having an interesting scenario right now with the Yamaha in combination with two other devices, all connected via HDMI and need some assistance. I own a shiny new Yamaha RX-A3070 and all is going wonderfully - I have had 4 Yamaha AVRs in my time, and all have served me well. Click to expand.Folks, I have been examining this thread and have a somewhat similar question although the preconditions seem different, and would appreciate some input from the brains trust!
